The idea for Nyana Education was born after our founder spent several years working with the Admissions departments of the University of Michigan and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). This experience showed that cultural and systemic differences in education around the world led to students who often misunderstood the application process outside their own countries. The insider information gained from working closely with the Deans of Admissions, conducting interviews, and assessing applications gives us the know-how to guide applicants through the complex admissions process and take well-informed decisions.

‘ Nyana’ comes from the Swahili for 'Rising Sun'. Even though the rising sun brings light, it has not yet peaked. We bring the same energy to you, our client, guiding you to a better tomorrow while recognizing that you have not yet reached your acme, and that there is yet more to come.
Our logo aspires to encapsulate the golden warmth of the rising sun with the Swastik's spirit of good fortune, and spread it in all four cardinal directions.
We were very conscious in taking inspiration from a symbol as meaningful as the Swastik. Just as we hope the symbol's essence of well-being envelops us, we also strive to be deliberate and thoughtful in all our actions.

Our Team
Udit Chaudhry
Founder & CEO
Udit comes from a professional background in entrepreneurship, management consulting, and product management. He has real estate developments, advised executives and their teams globally at Fortune 200 firms across multiple industries, and has investment management and advisory experience. Udit has a degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from UCLA – both universities at which he worked with the Admissions departments.
In his free time, Udit enjoys traveling, cooking, SCUBA diving, and reading. He is passionate about the environment and sustainability.
Chhavi Chaudhry
Advisor
Chhavi brings a breadth of expertise across people and operations management, retail, media, and sustainability. Her experience solving extremely large-scale challenges with Amazon using AI/ML and data science helps Nyana take a data-driven approach, and keeps us abreast of the latest advances in technology. She has master’s and undergraduate degrees in Industrial & Operations Engineering, both from the University of Michigan.
Chhavi is an avid hiker and camper, sings and plays multiple instruments, and enjoys reading. She promotes increased women participation in STEM fields, and supports environmental causes.
Manu Pathak
Advisor
Manu wears several hats, and has deep experience in the real estate investment industry, AI and analytics, and also manages a plastics manufacturing business. He has degrees in Urban Planning from CEPT University, and two masters degrees from New York University in Real Estate Development and Applied Data Science. Manu is Nyana Education’s ultimate success story, having been a client for undergraduate and masters admissions right through to receiving career counselling.
Manu enjoys visiting the Himalayan mountains, discovering new restaurants, and running.
